Touchdown Time

With American Football being the number one sport in the USA, children start playing flag football and getting into the game from a very early age.

For Key Stage one pupils, AFD have developed a unique program in line with the requirements of the National Curriculum for PE,  which helps children take their first steps into American Football.

Touchdown Time has cross curricular links with literacy, maths, citizenship and science all playing a part in each session. Children learn about a wide range of movements as well as taking part in competitive game based situations and developing an understanding of personal hygiene, care and diet.

Touchdown Time provides your school with PE sessions that helps children develop core skills such as balancing, jumping, running, throwing and catching with practised dance and choreographed dance movements.

“I think Touchdown Time is an excellent concept. The children enjoyed the sessions, engaged well with the activities and your coach did a great job.”
